I've read it somewhere it is a confessional song. Something about a 14 yo Alanis affair with an elder man. Anyway, that's a pretty damm good song !

I think people mean the song reminds them of a good time in their life ie. memories of where they were when this song/album was released??? It does for me anyway. And has nothing to do with the lyrics or the fact that she went out with an older man!!
