yeah, people like rose, browkaw & wolf blitzer made it an art to pose a question, let the bastard say what he wanted, then moved on to the next question using the philosphy, the the listener decide what the truth is. those news people & i say that lightly, were the beginning of the end for the 3rd estate. they didn't want to offend their guests either because they were personal friends, or they would threaten not to appear on that program again. so much for professional journalists.

Holding someone accountable is not "unjustly criticizing". Rose gave a softball interview and this divisive, dangerous man deserves to be have his positions challenged. He has caused great harm by using his position to advocate against a woman's right to choose as well as gay and lesbian people. He uses fear to advance his power and position.

This is why I quite listening to Charlie Rose several years ago. I got tired of the softball questions with no follow-up or challenge. Guests make totally outragious, offensive statements and he just let them go.

My right to marry was taken away by the lies he helped spread. Is this civility? I'm sure he is a nice, cordial man. But his worst talent is the ability to tell lies about people in a kind and gentle tone. That is not civility.
