cyril8727, I agree that the covers aren't as good as Bob Dylan's versions of his own songs. But that does not mean that all Bob Dylan covers suck. You're example with Bbritney and Paris does suck though because i don't think they ever covered one of Dylan's songs but there were lots of good bands who did cover Dylan's songs. For example, The Byrds cover of "Mr. Tambourine Man" and both the Eric Clapton and the Guns N' Roses version of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" are all really cool covers.

"No my friend, it does not depend on what genre you're into, NOTHING's as good as Dylan's versions of his own songs. It's like saying that if Britney Spears does a remix of blowin in the wind, feat. Paris Hilton, then it could be better if you're more into Britney than Bob ..

I say respect them both. New Found Glory's version is amazing, but you can't hate on a legend either.. It's just whatever genre you're into..
