Ich hab geheult... und heule sowieso immer bei diesem film... neben "Goodbye Lenin" der einzige deutsche Film, der mich wikrlich beéindruckt hat...

So ein wahnsinns Film!Ich hätt echt heulen können... Und das ist so real! Das ist mir erst in den letzten Tagen bewusst geworden, wie treist die Stasi war. Ich selbst kenne zwei personen, die abgehöert worden sind. Absolut genialer Film!!!!

Ups this was meant to be the answer to the question whether Wiesler changed because of the music.And I intended to point out that the „Sonate vom Guten Menschen is used as a metaphor.

No. It is not about the music. But as he is monitoring Dreyman and his girlfriend he realises how rich their lives are in comparision to his own as a loyal party member (and it is not the KGB but the Stasi). He can't deny any longer that he is working for the wrong side.During the interrogation at the end of the movie Wiesler's superior is asking him whether he is still on the right side and this movie and Wiesler's glance make you ask yourself: "Which is the right side?".

It won't be subtitled. The voices won't be the original voices in German but will be in French. ;o)

I'm French and i watched this movie in German. Even if i only understood thanks to the subtitles, the movie is so great that i forgot i was reading.I'm heppy because i'm gonna watch it again at the end of september thanks to Arte. But i think it will be in French. I hope it will be good in that language. :o)
