I see it that way sometimes, it can be seen in a few other ways too. I feel like it's safe to say depression played some part.

I like how he whales the beggining of the "I'm Tryyyyy" than he ends it normal with the ing, same with every word. Ahead of his time.

theres a guy named John Norton in San Clemente - he's one of your Syd Barretts of today. I'm gonna post some of his songs soon that he gave me. I was almost his drummer long time ago.

syd's biggest problem was depression in my opinion

Genius always walks hand-in-hand with madness; Look at Van Gogh, or Nietzsche...

Psychosis is a temporary state of madness that can be caused by too much drug use but it will dissipate after the drugs are out of your system and could last weeks not years.

I did lots of acid when I was a teen and its a fact that LSD doesn't cause Schizophrenia it just jumpstarts it if someone is predisposed to the illness. The Barret family never wanted to publicly acknowledge that Roger had Mental illness for some reason they would rather everyone think drugs "melted" his brain. Or perhaps it was a magical Gnome that did it.

yes, as hendrix said, thats where we make our biggest mistakes, that he couldn't compare Muddy Waters with B.B.King that they are both genius in their own aspect or whatever. ha

It's too bad drugs and mental illness were the end of such an amazing talent. Syd was, and still is, one of the most under appreciated artists of our time. He deserves far more recognition. RIP Syd! (And Rick Wright too.)
