Great ideas. I'm sure many MAs would say that Blauer's ideas & innovations focus too much on the basics. He does - and basics are called basics because they're indispensable. The ideas, concepts, etc are fully explained in detail. Overall - good education. :)

ive been taking karate for about ten years and in the recent years my school has incorperated the spear system as our mode of self-defenceit is realistic, and natural feeling so your level of awarness is higher into the fight than thinking "oh what move do i do now"tony is the man

Tony Blauer is the most forward thinking self defence instructor in the world.

Tony IS right!!!! Rarely if ever do conventional martial arts systems work at all. For years many people have been followers of these doomed styles. Oh I can fight...cause I have a black belt think again jackass. Tony says it best by saying never practice letting someone get the move on you.

I have twelve years experience in six or seven different styles. This is exactly what every martial artist needs to know.
